Dear Parents/Guardians,

The 2012-2013 JER PTSO would like to welcome you to our school. It is the PTSO’s job to organize various school assemblies, activities, and events throughout the school year. We are able to accomplish this through various fundraisers but more importantly, with our parent volunteers. We encourage you to help out whenever you can; any time you can share with us is greatly appreciated!

Please consider becoming a PTSO Member! Your membership will provide you with various emails throughout the school year. PTSO emails will provide you with

 The opportunity to volunteer/chair this years committees

 Various updates on school activities

 Reminders of important dates for school activities and fundraisers

 Voting rights at monthly PTSO meetings

Your one-time membership fee of $5 per family helps provide us with a financial foundation to help get the school year started. Your PTSO membership fee will also allow you to take advantage of discounts for after school events throughout the year.

Detailed descriptions of this year’s committees are available; please ask a PTSO officer if you need to see them.   Each committee needs volunteers as well as a chairperson in order for these events to take place. If you volunteer as a chairperson, the PTSO will be there to assist you.
