Last week, the South Plainfield Preschool Program hosted a Tiny Tigers Medical Clinic in part of our Medical Theme! Students brought in their favorite stuffed animal and visited our parent volunteers with a medical background for a "checkup." Each individual student was given a experience by health care professionals that further enhanced their knowledge as we work in our medical theme. A very special thank you to all of our parent volunteers for providing this experience to our youngest learners! #tinytigers

Due to popular demand the Tiny Tigers Pizza Palace made a return yesterday for the students in the South Plainfield Preschool Program! Students from both schools attended a one-day only pop-up restaurant event called The Tiny Tigers Pizza Palace! This year was holiday theme. The Riley Annex multipurpose room was transformed into an old-school pizza joint filled with classic red and white checkered tablecloths, red brick backdrop, servers, and a hostess to round out the experience. Our Preschoolers learned the ropes of dining out from being greeted and seated by our restaurant hostess and servers, being escorted to their reserved tables, selecting items off a menu, and tasting a fresh slice of pizza. Swipe to see the excitement on their faces as they enjoyed their time in the restaurant! #tinytigers

The Preschool Program had an exciting field trip to ShopRite last week! As part of our grocery theme, students enjoyed a hands-on experience that connected their classroom learning to the real world. From exploring different departments to "shopping" for healthy food, each activity taught valuable lessons about nutrition, counting, and making choices. We loved watching their curiosity come alive as they recognized items from home and learned more about what it takes to fill a grocery cart. 🛒🥕🍎🧃 #tinytigers #SPPreschool #PreschoolAdventures #LearningThroughPlay #RealWorldConnections

What a sunny and joyous morning at our community vehicle parade! 🎉 From police explorers, street sweepers, excavators, triaxles, dump trucks, fire trucks, to an ambulance rig, every vehicle was a showcase of our community helpers. The students of the Riley Preschool Annex lit up with excitement as they watched the parade of trucks, lights, and then heard all of the sirens and sounds. A very special thanks to all the family volunteers, SPPD, SPFD, SP Public Works, SP EMS, and staff who made this event a memorable one! #tinytigers #preschoolparade

All week the Riley Preschool Annex has been celebrating the Week of the Young Child! The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world's largest early childhood education association. Each day this week, there has been a new theme where our students participated in a variety of activities and events. So far this week, our tiny tigers embarked on a magical journey that delved into fascinating stories and ignited their imaginations during our special visit to the South Plainfield Library! 📚 Our students then slithered and slide into a captivating adventure as they explored the enchanting world of reptiles! From majestic snakes to colorful lizards, and turtles of all sizes, the assembly on reptiles left our preschoolers awe-inspired and eager to learn more about these fascinating creatures.🦎 Through engaging teamwork activities, students learned to work hand in hand to build a brighter future together! Our young learners discovered the power of collaboration, communication, and friendship. 🤝 Stay tuned tomorrow for the end of the week update! #tinytigers #weekoftheyoungchild

Students of the Riley Preschool Annex experienced our Roar and Adore Animal Adoption Center! Our multipurpose room was transformed into a toy pet adoption center equipped with a processing center, animal fact sheet printouts, and a certificate of adoption to make it official. Our students were able to select a new toy animal, give them a name, and bring them to their new forever homes at the end of the day. From cuddly cats to roaring tigers, mythical unicorns, dynamite Dino's, and playful bear-y-corns, there's a friend for everyone! 🐾🤗 Our students were taught compassion, responsibility, and the importance of love and care through pretend play! #tinytigers

Yesterday was a paw-some day at the Riley Preschool Annex! We had a special visitor, Dr. Morgan from Touch Stone Veterinary Center, join us for a fun and educational presentation! 🐶🐱 Our preschoolers had the incredible opportunity to learn all about how to take care of our furry friends and what it's like to be a vet. Dr. Morgan played an interactive game with our students that included guessing what the animal is and what they ate from looking at x-rays. Our little learners were engaged and enthusiastic every step of the way. 🩺❤️ A big thank you to Dr. Morgan for sharing her expertise and passion with us! #tinytigers Swipe to see the highlights from our special day...
